Volunteers of America-Meals on Wheels Snow Buddy Project needs volunteers to help shovel sidewalks and walkways for seniors. Each time there is a snowfall of 2” or more, the volunteers help remove the snow, making it safer for seniors (avoiding falls) and complying with the city/county regulations (avoiding potential fines.) The Snow Buddy should live within a two mile radius of their client, so if a big storm hits, the volunteer would be able to get to their client easily. Requirements are that volunteers must be over the age of 16 and must be physically able to shovel snow.
